Sorry. There's quite a lot cut from at least three sides of the movie. You can easily tell during the credits where even the writing isn't complete. Ordinarily, all the text would be visible, along with a lot more on all four sides of it. In addition there was an abnormally large and very ugly logo in the upper left of the picture. I don't allow logos in the movies I upload but one so large leaves behind artifacts from time to time after being removed. For part of the film you don't notice. For most of the film it's noticeable, but not too annoying. But where there are heads or moving objects behind the logo, removing that logo leaves what was behind it distorted and odd looking. But, had it not been removed, it would have been visible and very annoying throughout the entire film. You can see other versions of the film and its songs here on YouTube with it in all its hideousness. Indian media companies seem to think it's okay to deface the films in their care with their logos. It is NOT okay and just shows their lack of respect - their disdain, even - for the Indian movie heritage. Their only interest is in the money the films can make for them. Anu has a full blog post on Suraiya and her best songs throughout her career: https://anuradhawarrier.blogspot.com/2012/02/legends-suraiya.html Can anyone watching the film provide a short summary of the plot? About all I can find is, "Shokhiyan was a historical movie and depicted how the Portuguese gained access to India."
